Its simple, Be Kind.

Kindness goes a long way, in fact often its gone so far that many times we cant seem to find it. Whats up with that?

If we go by the old slogan, ‘kindness repays kindness’ its really one of the best investments that you can make in life. Weather its simply holding a door open for an extra second or two for someone else coming through that same door that you just went through, or an elevator door, or helping someone off the floor who may have just fallen, it really should be a very easy act of kindness and a par for compassion. For if how we treat others is the way that we would like to be treated, kindness should be a no brainer. Its like people going into their savings account now, to go on some expensive trip that they don’t really need and sacrificing the benefits of their future financial growth. Personally, I see a strong similarity. The positive acts of kindness will be remembered in the hearts of those who saw it, forever. People are retainers of powerful moments in life, good or bad and they always prefer to retain the good.

One of our most prized possessions in life, is our jobs. Our kindness naturally transfers the most powerful attributes of our character, which can have a very big impact on the work that we do and you are more easily seen as a ‘keeper’. Helping to get work done on time when there has been some outside roadblock, doing more than you are asked to do simply because of your caring spirit, staying off of your cellular phones when the boss is not around. Think of this, lets say, this company that is paying you to do a particular job, is depending on you to perform your tasks at hand and the end result is profit, see your acts of kindness in working hard in helping to fulfil the companies obligations, you then are magnified as a keeper.

Kindness goes a long way, more than a marathon, more than all of the grains of sand in the Sahara desert – an area of about 9,200,000 kilometers, more than you could ever imagine. A simple, small act of kindness, worth forever.

You are what you do. York Regional Police has one of the most catching motto’s on their Police vehicles. It says, ‘Deeds Speak’. Whoever came up with that motto, put together a masterpiece in 2 words that reflect my point. I always remember my adopted grandparents saying to me often, ‘Try and leave this world even a tiny bit better than how you found it’ and kindness to each other will do this.
